Who is the Volunteer of the Year
for 2007?
Grady Daniels has volunteered with Y.O.U.T.H. of Wilson for over 20 years and touched 15 young men's lives in that time. He has played a big role in these young men's lives by teaching them so many life skills, being there to listen and so much more. He and Malik(pictured here) spend a great deal of time together during the week and on the weekends. Mr. Grady has increased Malik's self-esteem, assisted with overcoming his shyness and ability to present himself by allowing him to take lead roll in having him order on behalf of both of them while at a restaurant, presenting payment at stores(with volunteer money) and other places where is suitable. These are just a few examples of the key roles Mr. Grady plays in Malik's life. Mr. Grady is a true asset to Y.O.U.T.H. of Wilson, Bridgestone/Firestone and Wilson County.
